Ethics under fire: I'm currently involved in a controversy here in Illinois about the Illinois Ethics Act, which requires all state employees (including those at public universities) to take an inane "ethics training" and pass an "ethics tests." As part of my efforts to raise public awareness about this issue, I posted the content of the state-required ethics training on my website, www.johnkwilson.org/ilethics.htm. Now the company hired by the state to do the training is telling me that I have to remove the information from my website, citing copyright law. I'm astonished that the training paid with my tax money might be regarded as a secret that the public is not entitled to know about.
