A reminder of upcoming academic freedom events. This Saturday, March 29, in Chicago, is the Illinois AAUP annual meeting, featuring Mehrene Larudee of DePaul and a panel on shared governance. The fun begins at 12:30pm at St. Xavier University in Chicago, 3700 W. 103rd St., in the Butler reception room. It's free and open to the public.

April 3-4 in New York City is an academic freedom forum at NYU. It's free and open to the public.

National academic freedom conference near Philadelphia is April 11-12. Register today! I'll be speaking at the conference.

On Saturday, April 19, I'll be speaking on a panel at the American Philosophical Association Central Meeting in Chicago (along with Ward Churchill) on academic freedom.

And on Thursday, April 24, I'll be speaking on a panel on academic freedom at an AAUP forum at Loyola University (Chicago). It's free and open to the public.
