Evaluating Academic Freedom in the Classroom

The University of Nebraska student senate will soon consider asking to have student evaluations include a question about whether the instructor protected academic freedom in the classroom. It's an interesting idea, and I wonder if any campuses do this. Of course, it's hard to know if student understand what academic freedom is.
