Academic Freedom on TV

Three important shows on TV tonight about academic freedom. The Sundance Channel is presenting Strange Culture, the documentary about the nightmarish life of art professor Steve Kurtz, who is awaiting trial on bioterrorism charges, at 9:35pm ET on Dec 11 (additional showings on December 14 at 12:35AM, 10:35AM; December 16 at 3:35PM). America in the Crossroads is showing Campus Battleground (10pm CT in Chicago Dec 11, it played earlier in some places). Meanwhile, Independent Lens tonight is showing The Paper, a study of a campus newspaper and how it works (sadly, it's not being shown in Chicago).
