Banning Talk About Gays in Schools

Tennessee state Rep. Stacey Campfield, sponsor of the Academic Bill of Rights in that state, has come up with an idea for a new law to expand censorship to the K-8 level. The proposed law declares, "No public elementary or middle school shall permit any instruction or materials discussing sexual orientation other than heterosexuality." This bizarre law would require a massive banning of all books that dare to mention homosexuality, as well as any efforts to stop anti-gay bullying.

Are plain old efforts to combat bullying in general exclusive of gay nine year olds?
